South Tama hosted an Early bird track and Field meet Tuesday evening.

The meet is notorious for freezing temperatures but this year the highs reached the upper 70’s and the sun even shone over Trojan Field.

The Trojans took third as a team with 87.5 points.

Some outstanding performances came from Jojo Tyynismaa who won the 100 Meters, 100 Meter Hurdles, 200 Meters and 400 Meter Hurdles.

Blue standards for the Drake Relays were released recently. Tyynismaa is quite close to qualifying particularly in the 110 Meter Hurdles. Qualifying time for high school is 15.10. Tyynsimaa finished with a time of 15.76 Tuesday evening.
