The TF Clydesdales – a five generation family operation owned by the Steve and Becky Fevold, Jake and Katie Bauer family from Gladbrook – had a very exceptional show season in 2023.

The horses reside on the family’s six-generation farm where they have around 20 head of black Clydesdales and raise three to five foals every year.

In 2023 they traveled throughout the US and Canada attending local shows, state fairs, including the 2023 World Clydesdale Show in Brandon, Manitoba.

At the world show TF Clydesdales were placed in the top-five and the top-10 in all of the classes they participated in.

At the Wisconsin State Fair they received championship honors in the Elite 4 horse and the Elite 6 horse hitches for the Clydesdales; Minnesota State Fair they received the blue ribbon in all classes except one; at the North American Feathered Classic in Shipshewana, Indiana they were the champion six horse hitch of mares.

In September they were honored to be representing the Clydesdale breed at the World Finals Six Horse Hitch. They received enough points throughout the summer to receive third highest in points to be able to go to the Finals in the Clydesdale division.

The top-15 draft horse six horse hitches in North America gathered in Shipshewana, Indiana for the World Series of Six Horse Hitches event. The event included the top-five point winners in the Percheron, Belgian and Clydesdales/Shires with a total of 15 six horse hitches vying for the World Champion and Reserve honors.

The TF Clydesdale hitch is made up of six black mares – of which four of the mares are home raised and the fifth mare’s mother was raised on the farm.

Also, at the World Finals they had a Ladies Diamond Drive Cart class in which Katie Bauer and TF Jay’s Sally won the Clydesdale division. Sally is a three year old home raised mare and is in her first year of showing.

The World Final Six Horse Hitch will be aired on the Cowboy Channel on Monday, November 20 beginning at 7 p.m. and also on RFD-TV on Thanksgiving Day. Pam Minnick with RFD-TV interviewed and taped the show for the broadcast on the Gentle Giants program.
