Pastor’s Corner: Rabbit to the rescue?

Pastor Mike Nodland of the Christian Fellowship Church in Vining, IA.

Sometimes, you just gotta wonder about some folks. Why would authorities find Civil War cannonballs in a passenger’s suitcase at an airport? Don’t tell me he was going deer hunting. Or why would you “paint” a museum floor with peanut butter? Why do people run in races with high heels? And why did Joey, the “Jaws” Chestnut, stop at eating only 66 hotdogs in 10 minutes? –Because time was up? It’s not for me! I get indigestion from eating half a strawberry.

That’s all abnormal in my book. What’s normal is that I think it’s perfectly reasonable to be apprehensive in a dental chair. But here’s more of the abnormal: Why would you get your tooth pulled or root canal at a fake dental clinic? The criminals were caught after bilking their clients of $185,000 and charged with “attempted bodily harm” (obvious understatement) and mishandling narcotics, likely using local anesthetics to do dental fillings and extractions. The crooks said they checked the internet to figure out how to pull teeth!

And Alex the Great, a rabbit rescued from a meat farm in California, is now a certified therapy rabbit who visits hospitals. I’d like to see his ID, please! Just give me the sound truth, the real deal. Just give me Jesus! He is Truth!
