South Tama to hold graduation Sunday

South Tama County Graduation is set for Sunday, June 27 at 2 p.m. In order to comply with COVID-19 guidelines STC will break from tradition to hold graduation outside at the STC Football Field.

Graduates will be seated in the home stands, physically distant from one another.

Each graduate will receive a program, a bottle of water, a mask to wear after the ceremony, and a diploma cover at their seat. As each graduate’s name is called they will stand and hold up the cover for a photo. After they will sit back down.

Graduates were provided with four tickets for reserved seating for family or friends of their choice. Guests of the graduates are invited to bring their own seating and sit on the football field, visitor stands or visitor side hill. Those interested that do not have tickets are invited to watch the ceremony on the South Tama County Community School District Facebook page. It will be steaming live.

Guests should remain spearate from others in attendance and are encouraged to wear a mask.

In the event of inclement weather, a rain date has been scheduled for Monday, June 29 at 7 p.m. In the event of inclement weather on Monday, June 29 no ceremony will be held.
