State Bank of Toledo Names New Director & Assistant Cashier

Jason Lekin

Jason Lekin was appointed to the State Bank of Toledo Board of Directors during the June meeting. Jason brings over 20 years of expertise in beef production and sales and is the owner and manager of Tama Livestock Auction Co. Inc.

Since 2009 Jason is a Licensed Real Estate Agent and Auctioneer for Appraisal & Real Estate Services. He is the current President of the Mid-Iowa Board of Realtors representing 5 counties and 150 agents.

Jason is a 1993 graduate of South Tama Community High School and a 1997 graduate from Iowa State University with his Bachelor’s in Animal Science. Simultaneously, Jason graduated in 1997 from World Wide College of Auctioneering with his Auctioneering credentials.

Jason and his wife, Mandy have a daughter Taylor & a son Lane. Together Jason and his wife manage Lekin Rentals LLC, (residential rentals in Iowa and Missouri) and maintain a cow herd, cattle backgrounding and feeding operation.     

President John Kavalier stated “that he is pleased to have Jason Lekin join the bank’s board of directors.  His vast knowledge of production agricultural is very valuable to our board of directors considering our bank’s primarily agricultural market.  Jason’s experience as a realtor is also relevant as our bank is an active real estate lender.  On behalf of the entire board of directors we all look forward to working with Jason.”

Brooke Yuska was appointed Assistant Cashier. She has worked at the bank for 12 years. Her duties at the bank include customer service as Lead Teller, teller oversight, cash management, Bank Secrecy Act reporting, data & proof processing, ATM balancing, and employee scheduling.

Brooke is a 2002 graduate of South Tama Community High School. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 2005 as an Administrative Assistant. She and her husband Aaron have three children: Kyler, Aniston, & Brynlee.

Brooke has maintained involvement with the Elementary Boosters club for the past four years. She has been the club Treasurer for the past three years.

President John Kavalier related that “I congratulate Brooke Yuska on her promotion that she has earned through her loyal diligent performance in her career at the bank.  She has distinguished herself as a leader in our organization.  I look forward to observing her continued advancement of her banking skills into the future.”
