The South Tama Trojan wrestling squad traveled to LeGrand for the East Marshall/GMG dual tournament Saturday, Jan. 23. Teams in attendance included BCLUW-SH, Collins-Maxwell, East Marshall/GMG, Gilbert, North Polk STC and Union.

The Trojans took third as a team winning three of their four duals. STC defeated BCLUW-SH 60-21, North Polk 51-15 and Gilbert 42-40. East Marshall defeated the Trojans 45-28.

Union took first overall.

The Trojans had one final double dual with Marion and Center Point-Urbana before the end of the regular season.

Post Season

Saturday post season wrestling begins with the WaMaC Conference meet in Marion. Wrestling starts at 10 a.m. No spectators are permitted.

South Tama will travel to Nevada for sectionals Saturday, Feb. 6. There they will face BCLUW-SH, East Marshall, Grinnell, Nevada and West Marshall.

Districts will be held the following week. The top two from each weight class from sectionals will meet up with the top two from each weight class from the following schools: Benton, Independence, Oelwein, Union, Vinton-Shellsburg and Williamsburg.
