Market Report for August 3, 2018

It was another great night for the Toledo Farmers’ Market. The customers were plentiful and the vendor’s tables were full of a bountiful harvest ready to sell.

Cindy and Rod brought the market trailer full of sweet corn, tomatoes, cantaloupe, and watermelons.

Kristi had her scrumptious bakery, cookies, rolls, kolaches, rolicky, twisty, pies, and breads, along with cucumbers, zucchini, and green beans. And congratulations are in order on the birth of her two new grandsons, Owen and Grant.

Caryn had an assortment of snack mixes, caramel corn varieties, jams, and houseplants.

Darold brought eggs, summer squash, zucchini, green peppers, egg plants, Napa cabbage, cucumbers, red, and green tomatoes, potatoes, beets, broccoli, onions, and cabbage.

Chuck and Ginger brought pies, breads, kolaches, popcorn, walnut meats, cucumbers, tomatoes, summer squash, potatoes, okra, spaghetti squash, eggs, and very pretty gladiolus.

Dawn had on her table’s jams, soup mixes, dried herbs, green beans, zucchini, cucumbers, houseplants, and Angel bulbs.

Brenda, Lois, and Ethan brought zucchini, cabbage, green peppers, cucumbers, egg plant, and green beans.

Jim had all his handmade leather items under the pine tree.

Janet brought cornbread, kohlrabi, green peppers, small loaves of breads, cookies, eggs, jalapeno, and banana peppers.

Julie and Bryce had all that beautiful plate art displayed.

Your Plate or Mine brought cookies, rice krispies bars, small loaves of sweet breads which included sugar free vanilla zucchini, sugar free chocolate lemon, white chocolate strawberry, orangesicle, banana cream, French vanilla chocolate chip, pumpkin, chocolate peanut butter, and chocolate chocolate chip.

Amy had those delicious cherry tomatoes and her beautiful flower bouquets.

As you can see the gardens are producing plenty of vegetables so be sure to come on out to the Toledo Farmers’ Market from 5-7 pm on a Friday night. See you at market.
