What’s Happening at the Wieting?

Those of you who don’t know too much about me I want to state I was born and raised in Toledo. I have lived in this city and county 82 years. I want to state that I am proud to say this and I’ll tell you why. This holiday season showed me that these two communities can get together and do things together and have it work out.

One thing I noticed was the uptown buildings were decorated in the holiday spirit. Even if the building was empty someone made sure the windows had decorations in them. That was great.

I wish to thank all the sponsors who donated money to provide the ice skating rink. It was so nice to see families at the rink with their children.

Both Tama and Toledo did what they could to promote different events all day and into the evening.

We of the Wieting Theatre Guild had a good turnout for the pasta dinner we served. After the parade it was so nice to have whole families come and eat and have fellowship together. Our dinner was a start to raise money for phase II at the Wieting. We raised over $1100. Let’s get this next part of the renovation done.
