Market Report for June 10, 2016
What a hot, sweltering night for the Toledo Farmers’ Market. There was a nice crowd who came out to enjoy the heat with the eleven vendors that came to market to sell. Kristi had a table full of delicious bakery, twisty’s, kolaches, rolicky, sweet rolls, pies, crisps, cookies, and breads.
Wilma and Vernon had plenty of eggs. Darold had eye appealing Swiss chard, lettuce mix, kale, nappa cabbage, radish, turnips, and green onions. Chuck and Ginger were in the shade under their tree with pies, breads, cookies, kolaches, popcorn, radish, cabbage, lettuce kohlrabi, goose berries, and fine-looking heads of broccoli. Dawn had energy bites, jams, jellies, breads, glass pie stands, foccocia bread, green onions, bath fuzzes, fresh and dried herbs, houseplants, mulberries, and bright red cherries.
Sheryl had plenty of hand made towel sets, scrubbies, dishcloth and scrubby set, oven mitts, assortment of ceramics, including those neat school theme football night lights. Janice was back with kohlrabi, rolls, energy bites, kolaches, and breads. Jim was under the pine tree with his hand made leather items. Joe and Barb had yeast breads, crisps, cabbage, lettuce, shell peas, dried whole peppers, and kohlrabi. Kathy had a full table of delicious bakery, bars, cookies asiago rolls, kolaches sweet rolls, cantaloupe bread and snack mixes. Tom and Nancy had an assortment of frozen buffalo meat, which included jerky and stixs, hot dogs, summer sausage, bratwurst, breakfast patties, and ring bologna and some free pens. Janet was back with eggs, and some apple breads. Will Lester, from Aromathea Candles stop by for a visit. They will be at market in a couple of weeks. You’re looking good Will, keep fighting the fight. Hopefully next week will be a little cooler. Be sure to mark your calendars and come on out to the Toledo Farmers’ Market and make some delicious purchases.
