ELBERON — The Elberon Area Women’s Club met at 11 a.m. on July 15.

The group drove around Elberon looking at the yards of residents to pick a winner of the “prettiest yard” contest. They voted to choose the yard of Scott and Heidi Pippert. A check for two meals at a Elberon Fire and Rescue Fish Fry will be sent to them. A sign was placed on the lawn acknowledging them as winners.

The group then went to have lunch at the Silver Dollar in Chelsea. They held an abbreviated meeting and discussed the school bell structure that is still at a stand-still.

The August meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 19 at the Elberon Community Center.
