Derek and Amy Townsend, of Chelsea, are the parents of a son, Cornelius Clay, born at 12:09 a.m. on June 1 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He weighed 6 lbs., 1 oz. and was 18 inches long. He is greeted by big sisters, Haven and Lucy and big brothers Judah and Davis at home and sister, Micaela in heaven. Grandparents are Michael and Connie Ledvina, of Toledo, and Terry and Doreen Townsend, of Bondurant. Great-grandparents are Beverly and the late Keith Squiers, of Chelsea; the late Marilyn and Melvin Ledvina, of Elberon; the late Aubrey and Dorothy Everly, of Bondurant, and Clarence and the late Shirley Townsend, of Indianapolis, Ind.
