Last Wednesday, the Tama – Toledo Healthy Hometown Team hosted a golf cart ride around Cherry Lake. The beautiful day and the spectacular lake had dozens of people coming out to get in on the fun.

The ride was mainly for adults unable to walk or bike around the lake themselves. Upwards of fifty local citizens showed up to take a little trip around the beautiful lake, adding a little spice to the day. Several people came from Sunny Hill, Birkwood, and CIRSI, all to get in on the action on this wonderful day.

The golf carts and rangers for the event were driven by volunteers from the community. One volunteer was Denise Fletcher, who provided a history of Cherry Lake for those who were curious about the body of water.

After enjoying a nice trip around the lake and seeing the sights; each attendee was given a gift bag. The delight of the people that attended was easily seen on their smiling faces. With the bright sun reflecting off of the lake the Tama – Toledo Healthy Hometown Team couldn’t have picked a better day for the event.
