Kendra Pacheco is the daughter of Vincent and Natalie Pacheco (Nevada); granddaughter of Perry Durnin (Iowa) and Valerie Pacheco (Nevada), Martin Austin and Lynette Fisherman (Nevada); great-granddaughter of Stanley Youngbear and Rae Jean Lasley (Iowa). Pacheco recently completed U.S. Navy Basic Training at the Recruitment Training Command in Great Lakes, IL on Nov. 5, 2021. Joining the military has been a lifelong goal for her since a very young age. During high school she participated in JROTC to help her prepare for her journey into the Navy. In August, she entered the Navy’s 10-week program where she completed a variety of trainings. These trainings included classroom study, practical study on Navy customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, also shipboard and aircraft safety.

Pacheco’s family is so proud of her accomplishments and look forward to all the things she’s going to accomplish moving forward.
