The City Wide Garage sales have been a staple of the Tama-Toledo area for decades, and now there is a new organizer at the helm. Local Kim Shipley has taken it upon herself to put together this year’s City Wide Garage sales.

Kim comes from a large family and has stated, “The bigger the sales, the bigger the crowds.” Starting with a colorful flower poster, Kim is getting the word out to everyone who wants to be a part of the City Wides. You just have to send Kim your address. It is absolutely free to list your sale, and all she needs is the location.

When it’s all said and done a list of addresses will be available at Casey’s in both Tama and Toledo as well as shared on Facebook. The City Wides are set for Saturday, June 1 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you want to sell some of your goodies and take part in the fun, make sure to send your address to Kim Shipley by Tuesday, May 28.
