Hoskey – Siefkas exchange vows

Carrie Lee Hoskey, daughter of Jay and Vickie Hoskey, Brooklyn, and Kurt Steven Siefkas, son of Debbie and Doug DeVilbiss, Clive, and Steven Siefkas, Osceola, were married Sept. 7, 2013, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chelsea. Deacon Joe Behounek officiated. The wedding reception followed at Holiday Lake Community Center.

The bride wore a Victorian-style gown of ivory satin and Irish lace. She was attended by her sister, Christa Hoskey, Omaha, as her maid of honor. Other bridal attendants were Jessica (Stadler) Heuer, West Des Moines, Bekah Frundle, Toledo, and Patty (Lyon Jacobi), Reinbeck.

Adam Ringo, Des Moines, was best man. Groomsmen were Troy Hoskey, brother of the bride, and Chris Tabbert, Des Moines. Cora DeFilippo, niece of the groom, was flower girl.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of South Tama County High School and a 2011 graduate of Luther College in Decorah. She is currently in her third year of vocal music teaching at BGM Junior/Senior High School in Brooklyn.

Grandparents of the bride are Richard and Marcia Hoskey, Florence, Arizona, and Jean Hoskey Richards, Toledo.

The groom is in his ninth year of United States Naval Reserve service. He is currently employed in security at Grinnell Regional Medical Center and Grinnell College, while pursuing his BA degree in criminal justice.

The couple resides at Holiday Lake. Their wedding trip to the Bahamas is planned for 2014.
