The South Tama girls varsity team hosted Center Point-Urbana for a conference matchup on Jan. 21. The Stormin’ Pointers dominated the game and finished with a 57-10 victory. In their first meeting of the season on Dec. 14 the Pointers again won big by a score of 69-12. Forward Arro Lyons held the high score for the Trojans with four points. Kayla Heck, Kailee Meek and Emma Harwick each had two points. Senior Adriana Cervantes led the game with nine rebounds. The Trojans took their 15th loss of the season (57-10) to the Pointers who are battling among four other talented teams for the WaMaC West Conference title. The Trojans will have two more home games before the playoffs, first on Feb. 1 against Williamsburg and on Feb. 8 against Independence.
