Mariah Fritz

PELLA-Mariah Fritz (senior, Tama, East Marshall HS) helped lift the Central College softball team to a 7-6, 6-4 sweep of Buena Vista University Tuesday, April 2.

Fritz (7-4) threw 223 pitches over 13.2 innings, gave up four earned runs on 10 hits with two walks and three strikeouts in the opener and four runs on eight hits with three walks and four strikeouts in the second game. The Dutch improved to 12-4 overall and 4-0 in American Rivers play.

Fritz is the daughter of Brian and Diana Fritz of Tama. She was the assistant coach for the STC?Trojans softball team for the past two seasons.
