Seven students from South Tama competed in the 2018 Special Olympics Summer Games, held in Ames May 17 and 18. Kadin Remme took Gold in the 50M dash, Joselinne Bagur took Gold in the 50M dash, Jose Ordaz took Gold in the 25M walk, Curtis Keahna took Silver in the Softball throw, Addison Moran took Gold in the 800M run, Allison Posekany took Silver in the Softball throw and Sade Harrelson took Gold in the Tennis ball throw.
