Growin’ up in Chelsea, I learned….
That life can be a lot simpler if you plow around the stump.
A bumble bee is faster than a tractor.
Words that really soak into your ears are whispered–not screamed.
Meanness doesn’t just happen overnight.
You should forgive your enemies. It drives them crazy.
It doesn’t take a very big person to carry around a grudge.
You cannot unsay a mean or cruel word. Be careful what you say.
Every path you take will have a few puddles along the way.
That when you wallow with the pigs, you can expect to get dirty.
The very best sermons are lived, not preached.
Most of the stuff people worry about ain’t never gonna happen anyway.
To judge each person individually and not by their relatives.
That silence is sometimes the best answer you can give.
One day you will be a memory to someone so do your best to be the best to be a good one.
Not to interfere with somethin’ that ain’t bothering you none.
Timing has a whole lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing is to stop digging.
Sometimes you git and sometimes you git got.
Good judgement comes from experience and a lotta that comes from bad judgement.
Don’t pick a fight with an old man. If he’s too old to fight you, he just might have a gun.
Everybody pretty much puts their pants the same, on one leg at a time.
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and leave the rest to God.
And with that, welcome to the beginning of the Christmas Season.
That’s The Way I See It.
