What’s Happening at the Wieting?

This column will feature the last half of events for 2014 at the Wieting.
We had a week of Camp Creamery. The students learned how to study their script, movement on stage and doing as directed by the camp personnel. Saturday was their showcase of theatre weeks lesson.
The nursing home residents of Tama-Toledo and Meskwaki were treated to a special showing of a movie.
Next was a return visit from John Rex Reeves.
Our fine arts series returned for another year of events.
We had a special showing for the Meskwaki School children.
A great concert was performed by Monroe Crossing. What a pleasure.
The National Honor Society had their awards night.
To close out the years special events we had the Grace Church’s performance of “The First Noel” contata. It was directed by Ora Mae Bro and a great cast of singers. Thank you.
We have had a very full schedule for 2014. The year has been very productive and we strive to make 2015 just as entertaining and a fun year for all of you.
