I encourage you to vote for Mark Doland for Supervisor in Tama County. I have been very close friends with Mark and his family since 2008. Mark Doland was a champion for private property rights here in Mahaska County, while he was a County Supervisor, fighting tirelessly against the big corporations that were trying to use eminent domain to condemn prime farm land to build an airport. Mark Doland fought against the establishment machine and won the respect and votes of many democrats and independents, forging a powerful coalition that defeated the airport project in Mahaska County.

It is despicable that I hear that this same kind of corporate greed exists in Tama County by attacking Mark Doland’s character. I have read the false statements that are claiming that Mark was not living in Mahaska County while serving as our Supervisor. This was a lie that was started by the corporatists that opposed Mark. I know it was a lie because Mark Doland was living with me the entire time that was in question. Mark asked me if he could stay with me due to some personal issues he was going through with his family that eventually ended up in a divorce. It was a very tough time for him and his family and it was despicable that the corporatists would exploit this situation for their gain.

I still talk to people here in Mahaska County who miss the leadership of Mark Doland. I have remained friends with Mark and still spend time with him and his family. I strongly encourage you to vote for Mark Doland for Tama County Supervisor.
