Letter to the Editor:

May is beef month.

We are members of the Mid-Iowa Beef Team. This month we are encouraging you to eat beef.

We are students at North Tama School. We play sports, play in the band, participate in our church, members of Tama County 4-H as well as many other activities in our communities. We are also cow/calf producers in Tama County.

This spring, as you look out in the country and see calves, think of the cattle producers who worked hard to get the calves on the ground. We go outside to do chores in the snow, rain, sleet, and heat.

As summer is approaching, it’s time to fire up the grill. A nice juicy steak on the grill is delicious. You can also grill hamburgers and beef kabobs. Our favorite beef cuts are T-bone and top sirloin.

Think of the beef producers as you are firing up your grill. We appreciate your support and we will continue to do our best to produce the best tasting beef possible.
