Marvin Sells passed away too soon of a heart attack in Chula Vista, Calif., on July 6, 2015.
He was orn to Ray and Betty (Kunch) Sells on February 24, 1955. Marvin attended GMG Schools, graduating in 1973. He attended Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowam and then worked for Fisher Controls until he joined the United States Navy in 1975. He was stationed on the U.S.S. Constellation CV64 IM 3rd Division 1976 to 1979, officially retired in 2005.
During the latter years of service, Marvin joined the police academy, in which he graduated, but decided not to pursue a Law Enforcement career due to its obvious dangers. He then went to work with San Diego Tee Times and then for Sleep Train.
Survivors include: wife, Irene, Chula Vista, Calif.; daughter Jennifer and granddaughter, Sara, Tucson, Az.; father Ray (Linda) Sells, Toledo, Iowa; mother Betty (Al) Guldhammer, half-brother David, S.Sioux City, Neb.; three sisters: Vickie Sells, LeGrand, Iowa; DeeAnn sells, Aurora, Colo.; Sandra Collins, St. Paul, Minn.; step-brother Brett (Joy) McLain, Nv.; 10 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews.
