Lorax in the stacks
Last Saturday was the birthday of the legend, the myth, the man Dr. Seuss. The celebrated children’s author posthumously turned 120 over the weekend, and some locals stopped to celebrate. At the Toledo Public Library on Saturday morning, Naturalist Raina Genaw with Tama County Conservation led a program that focused on the Lorax. After Raina read the creative masterpiece to the crowd, the children were able to do a series of activities. From making their own truffula trees to painting with pine cones, both kids and parents enjoyed honoring the late great Dr. Seuss.
