On Thursday, June 1, the Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards were held at the Des Moines Civic Center. Various medleys showcased talented musical theater performers from high schools all around Iowa. For one recent STC Graduate Libby Albright, this experience puts her one step closer to Broadway.

As a part of the award show, select students are invited to compete in the Triple Threat Program, where students audition for an opportunity to represent Iowa at the national musical theater awards in New York. Another prize from the competition is four scholarships to a broadway intensive camp held at the Civic Center in July.
