Tama discusses derecho cleanup

Six things to know from council

1. A special meeting was held Tuesday evening for an emergency procurement to hire Rostan Solutions. They will help with debris management and will supervisor and monitor all the loads and will then assist with paperwork to submit to FEMA for reimbursement.

2. Custom Tree Care has been hired for tree cleanup. They will be arriving either Friday or Monday and will do multiple trips around the community for berm pick up.

3. There is a dumpsters for spoiled food in front of the Tama Library.

4. USA Hot Meals will be in town Thursday, Friday and Saturday and providing meals during lunch and dinner. They will also provide food to hand out.

5. Samaritans Purse is a volunteer organization currently present in town. They are located at the church on Highway 63.

6. The city will complete brush removal and removal of house debris. These items need to be kept separate.
