Toledo Public Library News

New programs are coming to the Toledo Public Library during February and March. Do you like to cook and bake?? The library will be hosting Cook the Book Make it, Sample it and Discuss it. Sound like fun?? Those interested will sign up at the library, then everyone will choose a recipe from the same book to Make it, Sample it and Discuss it at the library on Thursday, February 22nd at 10:30 a.m. or 6:30 p.m. Stop into the library today to get signed up and take part in this tasty event!

Adult Craft Lab is still going strong at the library and has changed the day to the 1st Tuesday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This crafting program is open to all adults. Come get crafty with us.

Mark your Calendar!! Coloring Lab is new to the library beginning February 13th at 11:00 a.m. Join others in the calm, relaxing process of coloring. Supplies are provided by the library or you can bring your own books and pencils. This event will take place on the third Tuesday of each month from 11:00 12:00.

Studio Time is held each Monday at 3:45 for kids that want to be crafty. Open to all 1st through 5th grade students.

Art Lab is held each Wednesday at 2:45 when there is an early out at South Tama District. We create art, read together, play with learning toys, listen to interesting speakers and enjoy a snack. Open to all 1st through 5th grade students.

Kids love to build . LEGO Lab is held at the library each Thursday from 3:45 4:30. Kids can visit the library and play and build with these colorful and beloved bricks. Open to all 1st through 5th grade students.

The Tama County Extension and the library will be hosting an event for girls called “Be Yourself” on Friday, March 2nd from 1:00 3:30 p.m. This is a program for young girls’ ages eight through 13 and sign up at the library is required by February 23rd.

LEGO Lab is scheduled for Friday, February 16th at the library at 10:30. Come build with us! There will also be a movie on this day at 2:00 for all kids. Sign up at the library for these events. 641-484-3362.

Builder’s Lab is scheduled for Friday, March 2nd at the library at 10:30. This program includes Lil’ Engineers, building Bricks, Magnet builders and blocks. There will also be a movie on this day at 2:00 for all kids. Sign up at the library for these events. 641-484-3362.

A Spring Canvas Painting program will be held at the library on Tuesday, March 6th from 6:00 8:00 p.m. Fee for this event is $10.00 and is payable at sign up time. Registration is required and the deadline to sign us is Friday, March 2nd. Join us and surprise yourself with your creativity!
