WCF Financial Bank holds groundbreaking for new Tama branch

NEWS CHRONICLE PHOTO BY MICHAEL D. DAVIS — WCF Financial Bank employees and local officials held a groundbreaking for the new Tama location on June 9.

On June 9, WCF Financial Bank held a public groundbreaking on the site of its future new branch location. The bank’s entire Tama staff and executive management team were in attendance, along with representation from the bank’s board of directors, local government officials, Chamber of Commerce representatives and staff from Kirk Gross Company, the project’s general contractor and architect.

“It’s exciting to hold the groundbreaking and see the sitework that has already taken place,” said Kelly Smith, WCF Senior Vice President/Market President in Tama. “Our Tama staff and customers will enjoy watching the building go up next door to our existing location. We very much look forward to serving our current and future customers from this state-of-the-art branch.”

Bank leadership indicates the branch will be 4,500 square feet in size and include an ATM, multiple drive up lanes and plenty of lobby and office space for current and future employees to better serve the customers.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with the positive response from the Tama/Toledo community, which has led the bank to make this significant financial investment,” said Tim Kluender, WCF Financial Bank President/CEO. “In just over three years, the growth in Tama/Toledo has far exceeded our expectations, and that’s a testament to the work of our outstanding staff. The new branch will provide additional opportunities for growth in what has quickly become a terrific market for us.”
