Wedmore Realty recently announced the hiring of a familiar face to some in the community. Wes Upah joined the local real estate company in January and has been working since that time helping to list and sell properties in and around Tama County.

Upah is a 2020 graduate of South Tama County High School. His parents are Todd and Nicole Upah. He is scheduled to graduate from Buena Vista University this spring with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business. Upah currently works for the State Bank of Toledo and will be doing real estate on the side.

He joins the team at Wedmore Realty that includes Mike and Sally Wedmore and fellow STC alum, Jacob Clark.

“My interest in real estate started after high school when I did my first flip house in Tama,” Upah said. “After that I was constantly looking at real estate for sale in many different areas of the state. I shadowed Mike a couple of times and decided this was something I really enjoyed.”

Upah has passed the required state and federal test that is required for individuals to sell real estate and is now up and running full steam with the Wedmore team.

Upah said he’s most looking forward to meeting new people and helping folks through the processes of buying and selling property.

“Purchasing a house is a big step in many people’s lives,” Upah said. “I am excited to help them through it, and ensure that everything goes smoothly so at the end of the day they are happy, and can enjoy their property as intended.”
