Kelly Smith is the WCF Financial Market President in Toledo

Long-time Tama County banker Kelly Smith will be market president for WCF Financial Bank when it enters the Toledo market in 2020. Mr. Smith begins his new duties immediately.

WCF Financial Bank has been a bank in Webster City since 1934 and Independence since 2014. WCF Financial Bank will soon announce its Toledo location.

“We have served customers for more than 80 years by focusing on their financial wants for home and business.,” said WCF Financial Bank President and CEO Mike Segner. “We see an opportunity to bring our philosophy of banking to benefit the people of Toledo. Kelly Smith leads our newest office because he knows the community. He grew up here. He is active. He is a true community banker,” added Segner.

Kelly Smith most recently had been Executive Vice President at the State Bank of Toledo. He is active in Junior Achievement at South Tama; Iowa Bankers Association executive management board; South Tama Scholarship Foundation; Region 6 Housing Trust; and Tama County Cattlemen Association. Mr. Smith is a member of New Hope Church. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Buena Vista University in Finance and has completed study at the Graduate School of Banking at Wisconsin.
