Two and one-half years in the making, the conversion is wrapped up with nine modern 55 age-plus senior living units ready to go. Billy Dreesman, Toledo, bought the former Pheasant Ridge- the Tama County Care Facility – which closed in December, 2015.

He began work soon after. With some units complete, he was called to work in Marshalltown for five months following the July, 2018, tornado. In addition, he has other local property interests which require his time.

An open house is now planned for Country View Place for this Saturday June 22, from 11 a.m. -4 p.m. It is located about two miles north of Toledo at 2940 K Avenue.

Featured are seven two bedroom units ranging from 1,020 to 1,385 sq. ft. and two one bedroom units – one is 640 sq. ft and the second measures 890 sq. ft.

Set on four acres, each living space features lots of windows affording plenty of ways to see and be close to the surrounding countryside.

Modern kitchens are fully equipped with brand new appliances. Each unit has its own washer and dryer and all baths have walk-in showers.

All units have their own garage with indoor access. The main entrance is secure with an intercom system with television camera allowing residents to monitor guests seeking entry.

Dreesman lists advantages of the paved road location, transportation service available from PeopleRides and says the 1,500 sq. ft. central community room available to all residents makes entertaining larger groups of family and friends an advantage.

Residents will enjoy maintenance free living with internet, water and garbage service provided.
