Tama County Investment Services has announced their recent transition from their previous broker-dealer, Broker Dealer Financial Services (BDFS), to Cambridge Investment Research (Cambridge), a financial solutions firm based out of Fairfield, Iowa, focused on serving financial institutions and independent financial professionals.

Cambridge and BDFS finalized an agreement in October resulting in the firm becoming an enterprise branch, Cambridge’s name for a super office of supervisory jurisdiction.

The two firms recognized many important similarities including cultures shaped by serving others, achieving desired growth, and recognizing future opportunities. The enterprise branch is being led by Christina DeShaw as the enterprise branch manager at the West Des Moines-based Jordan Creek Financial Solutions.

With support from Cambridge, Jordan Creek Financial Solutions serves independent financial professionals and financial institutions such as Tama County Investment Services in a number of capacities including practice management, compliance, and additional support as needed allowing advisors to focus on serving their clients.

Tama County Investment Services is located at the State Bank of Toledo’s South Branch location. The full-service investment center has been offering investment services since 1994. Currently, the investment center is managed by Brian Sokol, CFP who has been with the State Bank of Toledo and Tama County Investment Services for the past 10 years.

In addition to serving our local clients, Brian is registered and serving clients in 25 states across the United States. Services offered include investment options such as stocks, bonds and mutual funds as well as annuities, life insurance and alternative investments such as real estate investment trusts (REITS). Brian resides in Toledo with his wife Cassie and two boys, Keidyn and Austin. Outside of the office Brian is active in many community groups and Toledo City Council.
