Take advantage: sales tax holiday at local merchants
State Rep. Dean Fisher (R-Montour) released information regarding the annual Iowa Sales Tax Holiday, which runs Friday and Saturday, Aug. 3-4.
During this time, no sales tax will be collected on select clothing or footwear with a selling price of less than $100 per item.
“With the school year quickly approaching, Iowa families should take advantage of the tax free weekend because it is a great opportunity to do some back-to-school shopping while also saving money,” said Fisher.
All businesses open on Aug. 3 and 4 are required to participate. Sunday is not included.
