Alliant Energy has asked for a recount of the municipal natural gas supplier vote for the City of Traer according to Karen Rohrs, Tama County Elections administrator.

The recount will be at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the Tama County Administration Building in Toledo.

The canvass of the vote by the Board of Supervisors conducted Nov. 19 showed an outcome of 269 votes favoring Traer Municipal Utilities as the supplier to 262 voters wanting to remain with Alliant.
