UnityPoint Health plans to maintain the family medicine clinic located at 1307 South Broadway in Toledo. That is the word from Laura Rainey, regional marketing director.

UnityPoint Health- Marshalltown officially took over operations of the former Central Iowa Healthcare hospital, urgent care center and clinic there as well as the Toledo clinic and those in State Center and Conrad.

“While it’s too early to report on staffing and services, rest assured, we are committed to maintaining and increasing care coordination, patient satisfaction and quality health care,” Rainey told The Chronicle.

She was also asked about the planned new clinic site in Toledo announced in 2014 by Central Iowa Healthcare to be located on U.S. Highway 63 South (South County Road) in Toledo.

” In regards to a new clinic for the Toledo community, we are evaluating our next steps and will be sure to communicate once plans are determined,” Rainey said in an email.

She said the billboard in place on the site will be taken down.
