Iowa Juvenile Home – Matrix meeting set tonight- Monday, Feb. 6 in Toledo

Reuse alternatives for the closed 227-acre Iowa Juvenile Home / State Training School for Girls campus in Toledo are to be presented at a meeting set for Monday night, Feb. 6 from 6-8 p.m. The meeting will be at the Reinig-Toledo Civic Center, 1007 Prospect Drive.

A reuse plan is being developed for the campus in Toledo with assistance from Matrix Design Group and support from the Iowa Economic Development Authority, Tama County Iowa Economic Development Commission, City of Toledo and the Iowa Department of Human Services.

The public is invited to come to learn about the reuse alternatives for the IJH property and how they were developed including consideration of existing conditions, job creation potential and wages, redevelopment costs, and revenue generation for the city.

Everyone is invited to participate and provide feedback on the alternatives for the future of this Toledo asset.
