Pediatric care will be the newest specialty to join the Deer Creek Specialty Clinic at the Deer Creek Health Center. Jennifer R. Paisley, MD, pediatric and internal medicine specialist with Grinnell Regional Internal Medicine, will see patients at the clinic, located at 401 First Ave., Toledo.

Paisley’s practice will offer a full range of pediatric services with a focus on chronic disease management in children. Areas of particular interest include developmental and behavioral health including ADHD, anxiety, and depression, and weight management. The pediatric care clinic will be held in the morning on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.

Patients may self-refer or have a primary care provider referral. A patient’s insurance carrier may have requirements for a referral. To make an appointment, please call Grinnell Regional Internal Medicine at 641-236-2382.

Paisley joined the Grinnell Regional Internal Medicine clinic in spring of 2016. After completing medical school at the University of Iowa, Paisley completed her dual-residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Kansas City, Mo., and its affiliated hospitals, including Children’s Mercy Hospital, Truman Medical Center, and St. Luke’s. She is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics, and plans to become board certified in obesity medicine. Paisley is a native of Grinnell. She and her family moved back to Grinnell to be closer to family. She graduated from Grinnell High School in 2000.
