The 2013 Mid-Iowa Cooperative Crop Fair has a program designed to help local growers deal with weather and markets, according to organizers with the Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) and Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB). The program will be Jan. 24, at the Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel, Tama. The program runs from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Featured presentations include Grain Fundamentals & Chart Technicals by Randy Mittelstaedt and Dave Toth of RJ O’Brien, Jeff Hamlin of Climate Corporation, Michael Swanson, Wells Fargo ag economist, an Iowa Corn Legislative Update by Mindy Larsen Poldberg of Iowa Corn and Eric Apel of the Mobile Weather Team.

“With our weather challenges last year and interest in the markets and legislative issues, this crop fair will provide area farmers with information that can really help their bottom line,”says Carrie Dodds, ICGA/ICPB Grower Service Representative.
