Czech Point backs Giving Back 2012

The Czech Point Restaurant & Pub has announced details for the Giving Back 2012 Donation Drive. The Czech Point is supporting two local organizations in their plans to help the less fortunate of the area.

Leader Andrea Behrens announced that the Clutier Cowboys & Cowgirls 4-H Club will be collecting non perishable food items to be distributed to local families. Andrea said, “While we have had a food drive in the past, we appreciate the Czech Point for organizing the event and providing a drop off spot for the food products.”

The items may be dropped off at the Czech Point through December 19 and at that time the 4-H Club members will distribute the items to identified families around Clutier.

Armed Services Veteran Rich Wiebbecke provided information on how Clutier’s American Legion Post 453 decided to support the Christmas Fund at the Marshalltown Veteran’s Home.

He said, “All of the cash contributions dropped off at the Czech Point will directly help buy personal items for each of the veterans at the home.” Personal checks will be accepted and should be made out to American Legion Post 453.

The Post will cash them and representatives will take all of the donated money to the Marshalltown Veteran’s Home.

Czech Point owner Paul Dvorak urged support for the Giving Back 2012 drive by donating to the two local organizations.

The public may stop by the Czech Point anytime during business hours and make donations through the close of business on Dec. 19.
