The Toledo Farmers’ Market didn’t start with a bang this Fourth of July weekend. It started with the sound of the whistle. There was plenty of items to purchase and plenty of customers to purchase them.

Kristi brought kolaches, cookies, rolicky, quick breads, twisty, rolls, pies, bars, kohlrabi, and black raspberries.

Dan snuck in with onions, greens, green beans, beets, carrots, and cookies.

Caryn had plenty of succulents on her table. She also brought her assortment of popcorn, jams, jellies, and snack mixes. If you’re wondering, the assortment of snack mixes was taco mix, sweet n’ salty, bacon ranch mix and snickerdoodle.

Busy Bee Acres brought an assortment of honey, calendula healing skin salve, dandelion & Arnica skin balm, lip balm, plantain skin salve, bug repellant, and solid lotion bars.

Chuck and Ginger arrived with pies, crisp, quick breads, kolache, popcorn, eggs, potatoes, peas, broccoli, cabbage, kohlrabi, and red pepper powder.

Dawn’s table was full of rhubarb, onions, turnips, leeks, houseplants, jams, jellies, popcorn, soup mixes, red, black and yellow raspberries, mulberries, and dill.

Janet brought granola, cookies, cornbread, bread stixs, eggs, quick breads, and a Russian Tea mix.

Joe and Barb had yeast breads, small pies, crisp, potatoes, broccoli, Napa Cabbage, cabbage, kohlrabi, and green onions.

Your Plate or Mine brought their assortment of delicious mini loaves of sweet breads. The flavors are as follows, banana, banana nut, zucchini, zucchini nut, pumpkin, wedding day, orangesicle, white chocolate strawberry, banana cream pie, chocolate chocolate chip, chocolate peanut butter, and lemon, lemon poppy seed, sugar free chocolate, and sugar free vanilla.

And holding up the market on the north end was the Bunny Farm. Bill and Gail had their tables full of the assortment of jams and jellies Gail makes. There were also some pictures of their bunnies they raise.

Sweet corn should be arriving in the next few weeks at market. See you at market.
