The descendants of Joseph and Anna (Pokorny) Dostal met at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club in Tama on August 7 for their 52nd reunion. Hosts for the event were Mary Ann Gray Bemidji, MN, Bonita Neff, Munster, Indiana, Rita Dostal Toledo, Regina Lebeda Humboldt, South Dakota, Marilyn Kelley Edina, MN.

Updates to the family history included the birth of Jayce Jeffrey Dostal to Brent and Heather Dostal on Dec 10, 2014, Payton Quinn Faircloth to Joel and Casey Faircloth on Aug 26, 2015, Jacelyn Michelle Dostal to Cory and Sarah Dostal on April 22, 2016, Brooklyn Rian Hanson to Matthew and Emily Hanson on May 9, 2016. There was one death since the last reunion Darla Marie (Dostal) Wills on Dec 25 2015, daughter of Fred and Lillian Dostal. United in marriage were LeAnn Stringer and Steve Martin on April 25, 2015 and Michael Dostal and Pamela Burkle on July 9, 2016.

Twenty-nine family members attending included Jeff Dostal and granddaughters Olivia and Kiya from Tama; Mike & Pam Dostal, Rita Dostal, Reva Dostal, Becky Faircloth, and Kevin Dostal from Toledo; Myrna Dostal from Traer; Lillian Dostal from Clutier; Jan & Terry Kluck from Marshalltown; Leonard & Collette Seda from Victor; Keith Wills from Grundy Center; Pauline Randall from Springville; Maria Burkle from Brooklyn; LeRoy Thoms from Garwin; Al & DeAnna Krupp from Goodyear Arizona; Mary Ann & Tom Gray from Bemidji, MN; Marilyn & Mike Kelley from Edina, MN; Regina & Chuck Lebeda from Humboldt, SD; and Bonita & Greg Neff from Munster, Indiana.

The family enjoyed an afternoon of musical entertainment by Janice Kluck on her accordion and visiting. Pauline Randall donated one of her paintings for a door prize, which was won by Leonard Seda.

The 2017 reunion will be hosted by Mary Ann Gary, Bonita Neff, Rita Dostal, Regina Lebeda and Marilyn Kelley on Sunday, August 6, 2017.
