Annual Sienknecht Family Reunion held in Clutier

The annual Sienknecht Family Reunion was held Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at the American Legion Hall in Clutier. More than 70 descendants of Henry and Freda (Krambeck) Sienknecht enjoyed a potluck meal.

Opal Sienknecht, 94, of Cedar Falls, was recognized as the oldest family member in attendance, and the last surviving member of Fred and Laura (Goettsch) Sienknecht’s children. Her husband was the late Arlo Sienknecht. Les and Pauline Sienkencht, Clutier, were recognized for their upcoming 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 20. Jason Staker, Toledo, gave a presentation on the Sienknecht and Krambeck family history, including details of the family roots in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
