Volunteers deliver mobile meals to seniors in January

TAMA NEWS-HERALD – The week of Jan. 4-8, 122 meals were delivered in Tama and Toledo.

Living Faith United Methodist Church delivered 92 meals in Tama. Making deliveries were Mary Schultz, Jesse Wedmore, Bonnie Morrow, Shirley Franklin, Ray Judge, Dallas Hotchkiss and David and Brodie Blocker.

The Catholic Women delivered 30 meals in Toledo. Those working were Lud and Reva Dostal, Bob and Virginia Benda and David and Brodie Blocker.

The week of Jan. 11-15, 149 meals were delivered in Tama and Toledo.

The Kiwanis Club delivered 112 meals in Tama. Those volunteers were Frank and Florris Adair, Sandy Fowler, Sarah Feisel, Cynthia Roth, Ann Michaels, Betty and Gene Vesely and Harold Woodworth.

Fellowship Baptist Church delivered 37 meals in Toledo. Making deliveries were Gary and Shirley Mattson, Becky Faircloth and Maryann and Gerald Ross.

The week of Jan. 18-22, 117 meals were delivered in Tama and Toledo.

The Career Development Center delivered 87 meals in Tama. Those working were Teresa, Dakota and Jensen Vodochodsky, Andy and Verona Suchanek, Vince Boyerm John Stalzer, Dawn Bailey, Michelle Kubik, Mike Callahan, Tim Hauser and Oriah Kapayou.

The Toledo Lions delivered 30 meals in Toledo. Those volunteers were Earl McCreary, Kenny Mayo, Roger Benda and Wayne Wood.

The week of Jan. 25-29, 148 meals were delivered in Tama and Toledo.

The Career Development Center delivered 111 meals in Tama. Making deliveries were Teresa Vodochodsky, Missy Massengale, Vince Boyer, John Stalzer, Dawn Bailey, Michelle Kubik, Mike Callahan, Tim Hauser, Oriah Kapayou, Dara Wiese, Todd Rank, Sam Sheda, Kody Risse and Bill Boyer.

The PEO delivered 37 meals in Toledo. Those working were Dallynn Hotchkiss, Richard Dunsmoor, George and Michelle Musgrave, Joe and Jan Boll, Nancy Burk and Charlene Kenkel.

For the month of January Sharon Shouse delivered 165 frozen meals to Gladbrook and Garwin. Jack Williams and Rev. Seth delivered 16 Congregate Hot Meals to Montour. Tama, Toledo and Traer received 441 frozen meals. Volunteers for the month were Bev Graff, Marlene Dolezal, Helen Hruby, Mildred Backen, Mavis Bachman and Tama County Senior Services Coordinator Nancy Blocker.
