Tama-Toledo Eagles Auxiliary welcomes Grand Madam President

On Sunday, March 15, Fraternal Order of the Eagles Grand Madam President Gloria Williams visit Tama-Toledo FOE 2828. The day started with a “Meet and Greet” followed by a “Welcome to Tama” with Tama Mayor Doug Ray welcoming her ot our city. FOE Western Central Regional President Brenda Youngbear also welcomed Gloria and mad introductions of Auxiliary and Aerie local and state officers, and Past Grand Madam President Carleen Corum.

Auxiliary All State Initiation was performed with two new local members being initiated into Tama-Toledo 2828 Auxiliary.

A light supper of soup, sandwiches and desserts were enjoyed by officers and Visiting Sisters from other state Auxiliaries.

Gloria spent the evening at the Meskwaki Casino (playing a little on the slots.)

Next morning she received news the rest of her visits to other states were being cancelled due to the coronavirus. She was to go to Marceline, Mo. next, and tour the State of Missouri.

Eagles State President Lisa Miller and WCR President Brenda Youngbear had breakfast with her and took her on to the airport to catch her flight home to Portland, Ore.
