STC senior Lily Wacha signed her letter of intent recently to become a member of the dance team at Upper Iowa University in the fall of 2026. Upper Iowa is located in Fayette, Iowa, and is Iowa’s only Division-II university.

Wacha has been dancing since she was three years old and she currently dances at Spotlight Studios in Belle Plaine. As a freshman, Wacha was a member of All-Iowa Dance Team and performed at the IGHSAU Girls State Basketball Tournament in 2023.

During her high school career, Wacha has also been involved in wrestling cheerleading, FFA, plays and musicals, and choir. Wacha stated that she chose Upper Iowa because of the small-town feel, their beautiful campus, and the great staff.
