The Marshalltown Premier League plays lively games of soccer every Sunday down at Toledo Heights Park, and with every sport, there is injury. Alexander Gonzalez of the team Jalisco FC suffered a broken leg during a rousing match a few weeks back. With his injury, Alexander hasn’t been able to play soccer or, more importantly, work.

Teammates and the Marshalltown Premier League are putting on a fundraiser this Sunday, June 25, for Alexander’s benefit. Ceviche, tacos, birria tacos, menudo, handmade tortillas, and fresh juice will be available. All money raised will go straight to help Alexander Gonzalez. The fundraiser starts at 9 a.m. at Toledo Heights Park and will end when all the food is gone, so get there early!
