STC Softball seniors Alondra Bolanos-Lupian and Sammie Schneider were honored during the events of Monday’s games against West Delaware.

Schneider serves as the starting pitcher for the team and plays a huge role in the Trojan offense.

Bolanos-Lupian has had a rocky road with athletics over the last few years. After being sidelined with a knee injury last season, she goes out with her head held high, not being defined with injury.

“Finding out that I wouldn’t get to play softball last year because of my surgery was devastating. I knew I couldn’t push the surgery more, or else it could’ve intervened with my fall activities,” she said. “Coming back this year was not the easiest since I hadn’t played in two years, but having great teammates by my side made it feel as if I’ve never missed a year. I’m glad I went out for softball my final year, and I will definitely miss it for years to come.”

Both seniors will be missed in the program next year.
