In her first collegiate national meet, Jojo Tyynismaa is back where she is most comfortable, on the podium. The former STC track star’s contribution was in Wartbug’s Distance Medley Relay. Tyynismaa ran the 400 meter leg of the relay, splitting a time of 58.66.

Before taking her talents to Wartburg, Tyynismaa was no stranger to success in track and field. She capped off an amazing high school track career which included three Drake Relays qualifications, three runner up finishes in the 100 meter hurdles, and a state championship in the 400 hurdles to cap off her time as an STC Trojan.

The 2023 NCAA Div III Indoor Championships took place in Birmingham, Ala. on March 10 and 11.
