The South Tama eighth-grade football team recently wrapped up a perfect 6-0 season that included decisive wins across the board by an average of 21.5 points per game. The Trojans, guided by coaches Jay Hoskey and Seth Koch, defeated Williamsburg (46-6), Vinton (29-12), Mount Vernon (29-13), Benton Community (41-12), Grinnell (14-8) and Center Point-Urbana (37-18). The Trojans averaged 6.2 yards per rush while completing 57 percent of their pass attempts for an average of 18.8 yards per catch. All told, STC averaged 8.2 yards per play and 266 yards of offense per game, scoring 24 touchdowns on offense and another four touchdowns from its defense and special teams. Members of the team include: Emerson Bridgewater, Ashton Harris, Eli Cruikshank, Chaden Graybeal, Eric Medina, Josiah Houghton, Jordan Defoe, Kyle Youngbear, Michael Henry, Lane Feisel, Manual Cervantes, Antony Viramontes, Ian Schuelka, Cameron Birch and Ivan Jimenez.
