Varsity vs Roland-Story (0-2)

On Tuesday, September 13th, Varsity suffered a defeat against Roland-Story. As soon as RS busted out King R. Kool STC stood no chance against the juggernaut character.

In Game One Alex ? was taken out in the first round while Wade ? and Jerome Kapayou? traded a win and loss with RS. Unfortunately, RS took the final two rounds defeating ? Geister and Caleb ?.

Game Two looked bright as Sam ? swept-up the first two rounds from RS but was ultimately knocked out in round three. RS swept through STC in the last four rounds, leading to STCs ultimate defeat.

JV vs Eagle Grove (2-1)

On Thursday, September 15th, the JV Smash Bros. battle came down to both schools’ final players, but STC ultimately prevailed, gaining their first win of the season!

In Game One, the Trojans got an early jump from Corbin Bergamann, taking down EG’s first two players and slashing through two lives of their third before succumbing to defeat. Ryder Hill cleaned up EG’s third player and downed their fourth but was knocked out by EG’s fifth player. But Curtis Keahna sealed the win with the final blow on EG’s fifth player.

EG made a comeback in Game Two, defeating Ryder Hill, Waylon Sauer, Dakota Fontinel, Jonathan Tino, and Jesse Ordaz, tying the match-up.

The final match-up was close, with Curtis Keahna, Corbin Bergamann, Dakota Fontinel, and Jonathan Tino, each trading a win and loss. The battle came down to both schools’ final players, but Ryder Hill ultimately prevailed, helping STC gain their first win of the season!
